For Immediate Release
PORTLAND, OR., – January 18, 2016 – Tofuna Fysh® recently announced their newest product, Fysh™ sauce, and just completed a successful crowdfunding campaign to finance the initial production run. Using organic seaweed as a fish alternative, Fysh™ sauce is an ideal addition to any vegan kitchen with a flavor profile that’s perfect for stir-fries, noodles, rice, marinades, soups, dips, and more.
“We wanted to create a new, versatile condiment that promotes awareness for ocean conservation while being a delicious cooking enhancement . Using organic seaweed, instead of fish, just makes sense…” says Zach Grossman, founder of Tofuna Fysh® who launched with their first product – a vegan ‘tuna’ salad – in May.
When it debuted at the Portland VegFest in mid-November, Fysh™ sauce was enthusiastically embraced, filling a clear void. Tofuna Fysh® uses fermented soybeans (Tamari), rice vinegar, organic seaweed, pineapple juice, wasabi, and other natural ingredients to create a sauce that will add flavor to any dish. The product is gluten free and vegan.
Kickstarter backers that pre-ordered Fysh™ sauce are expected to receive their orders in March and retailers will begin stocking Fysh™ sauce in April.
